Employment Opportunity – General Manager
The Southern Peninsula Basketball Association (SPBA) is looking for a General Manager who is passionate about sport and has the right combination of skill, leadership ability, and experience to lead our growing association.
The SPBA are the leaders on the Mornington Peninsula for bringing basketball to the community. The SPBA runs junior and senior domestic competitions in our area and hosts a very strong junior and senior representative program. With over 2,500 members covering 2 municipalities, we are committed and pride ourselves in being one of the best basketball associations in Country Victoria.
The General Manager role is a full-time position with the potential for some weeknight and weekend hours, this role will report to the SPBA Board of Management.
Applicants will need to exhibit a high level of capability in sports/business management as well as solid business and commercial acumen.
The General Manager will lead and manage a team of paid staff and a network of volunteers within an association composed of member clubs and stand-alone teams. In such an environment, communication skills and an ability to work with diverse groups is a must.
